Our shuttle leaves Away with the Fairies at 9am on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. We run from Hogsback down the incredible Hogsback Pass, past up to 15 waterfalls as we leave Hogsback, and into the Tyumie Valley. From the bottom of the pass to King Williams Town we go through Frontier Country and drive past Battlefields from the Frontier Wars of the 18th and 19th Century. Once through King Williams Town we head on to the Sugarshack Backpackers in East London and Buccaneers Backpackers in Chintsa and then back to Hogsback.
We arrive in East London in time for the PE to Durban Baz Bus and most mainline buses. Please note, we do not pick up from the Durban to PE Baz Bus as this arrives too late. If you are on this bus and wish to come to Hogsback it will be necessary to over-night in either East London or Chintsa and we can collect you on the next shuttle day.
We can collect and drop off at East London Airport. Please make sure that your plane lands in East London before 11am or takes off after 1pm.
Due to the fact that we go to Chintsa only when required, and often have hostel shopping to do in the city, it is difficult to estimate the time we will be embarking for Hogsback, but I can safely say between 11am and 2pm.
We also accommodate non-guests as long as there is space. Away with the Fairies guests take preference, so if you are not staying with us please call the evening before departure to check for space.
Cost: East London R150 each way / East London Airport R180 each way / Chintsa R180 each way / King Williams Town R120 each way / Alice R70 each way / Amatola R150 (R600 minimum)
Extra shuttles are available at a fixed cost of R1000 for up to 5 pax and standard fares for every passenger above.
